Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of facem.gg and the related Facem competitive team league platform for VALORANT (the “Service”), operated by Killian Paulic, an individual based in France (“Facem,” “we,” “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use the Service.
• You must have a valid Discord or Google account to sign in, and an active Riot Games account to participate in matches.
• You must comply with the Riot Games Terms of Service when interacting with VALORANT and Riot-related content.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for all activity on your account.
• You must provide accurate information, including your real Riot ID, and keep it up to date.
• You may not impersonate another person, share your account, or maintain multiple accounts to circumvent rankings or bans.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

3. The competitive league

• Facem organises league play between registered teams (e.g. seasons, matchdays, map veto, results, standings, Facem Points).
• Facem is not a substitute for any in-game VALORANT queue or for the official VALORANT ranked ladder. League standings and Facem Points are specific to the Facem league and do not affect your in-game rank.
• League rules (format, scoring, conduct, penalties) may be published separately and updated over time. Material changes will be communicated to participants.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit, use unauthorised software, scripts, or third-party tools that violate Riot's policies or the integrity of league matches.
• Match-fix, sandbag, sell or buy accounts, or otherwise manipulate league results or rankings.
• Harass, threaten, dox, or send hateful or discriminatory messages to other users (in-app chat, captain chat, Discord, or elsewhere).
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape data, or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

5. Riot Games

Facem is an independent product. It is not endorsed by Riot Games and does not reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. VALORANT, the Riot Games logo, and all associated marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

Your use of any Riot Games property remains subject to the Riot Games Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

6. Content and intellectual property

• The Facem name, brand, website, and original code are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
• You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g. team logo, team name, chat messages). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process it for the purpose of running the Service.
• Riot Games owns all VALORANT-related assets (agent art, map names, rank icons, etc.) used on the Service under fan-content allowances or API permissions.

7. Fees

The Service is free to use. There are no subscriptions, no pay-to-compete features, and no in-app purchases. If we ever introduce paid features, we will update these Terms and notify users in advance.

8. Suspension and termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, cheat, harass other users, or harm the integrity of the league.
• We may also discontinue, modify, or limit any part of the Service at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will provide advance notice.
• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Facem will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, reputation, or opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed one hundred euros (€100).

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including statutory consumer rights).

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” above always reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be brought before the competent courts of France, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules require otherwise.
